Renovation and refurbishment in three phases 2010-2016 in the occupied building

Structure:
The main building of the Tower Europe includes 8 levels of infrastructure including technical and archives, the Central Security Post (P.C.S.) in the 2nd basement, the Inter-Enterprise Restaurant area (R.I.E.) (restaurant, kitchen, cafeteria) and 28 levels of superstructure including a DrC with mainly the lobby, 26 levels of current office floors and a technical floor on the 27th floor
The structure of Tour Europe is carried by poles in front, a central core, and four refends. The front posts are arranged every 3 m

Following works were engaged:

Asbestos removal, partial coring-out of office space, complete renovation of building technology, new fire protection installation, adaptation to current standards. New design of the entrance hall, elevator platforms, toilet rooms and the canteen

ENVIRONMENTAL APPROACH:

The restructuring programme followed by Tour Europe now allows it to display particularly demanding energy behaviour, with the HQE Renovation certification with a BBC label.
